New Common Threads resource released

Full Circle: First Nations, Métis, Inuit Ways of Knowing

January 31, 2013 — OSSTF/FEESO has just released the latest project in the series of five Common Threads curriculum resources. Full Circle: First Nations, Métis, Inuit Ways of Knowing has been designed for use by educators across Ontario to provide inclusive classrooms and foster greater understanding about issues impacting Aboriginal people.  It consists of more than sixty classroom-ready lesson plans using a holistic teaching approach that honours traditional knowledge and Aboriginal values. An accompanying video profiles three First Nations youth, two Inuit teenagers and one young Métis woman. Each story offers a compelling insight into what it means to be young and Aboriginal in Canada today.
