OSSTF/FEESO is proud to support and endorse the FedForward team of candidates for leadership roles at the upcoming convention of the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL), which will take place from November 23 to 27.
The FedForward team is committed to a revitalized and united labour movement in Ontario by working to bring workers and their unions together, and by advocating for progressive legislation, stronger labour rights, equality and good jobs.
The FedForward team members are Chris Buckley of UNIFOR, who is running for President, Patty Coates of OSSTF/FEESO, who is running for Secretary-Treasurer, and Ahmed Gaied of UFCW, who is running for Executive Vice-President.
“I am proud to support the FedForward leadership team of candidates for the Ontario Federation of Labour,” said OSSTF/FEESO President Paul Elliott. “Chris Buckley, Patty Coates and Ahmad Gaied offer a dynamic combination of skills, diversity and experience that will strengthen and energize the labour movement in this province over the coming years. They are a committed team with the broad frontline experience necessary to support the needs of Ontario’s workers, and the solid leadership skills we need to move the labour movement forward and to fight for good jobs, workplace safety and the kind of positive legislation that will ensure a brighter future for all workers.”
