OSSTF/FEESO is recognized as a leader in educational research among education groups in North America. In the mid-70s, the Federation spent a quarter of a million dollars to prepare a report on public secondary education in Ontario, At What Cost? which led to a re-introduction of compulsory core subjects, including English and history.
Since then, OSSTF/FEESO has regularly commissioned respected academics to conduct current and relevant research in the field of education. We have produced numerous reports on significant topics such as student achievement, school culture, and curriculum delivery.
Through our numerous research projects, OSSTF/FEESO has helped shaped the way education is approached, both within our province and beyond.
