Lest we forget

Today, as teachers and education workers, we remember the many brave soldiers who answered the call and never came home.

We remember the women who stepped into factories, schools, and hospitals, keeping our communities alive and forever changing the labour movement.

Their selfless courage and sacrifice remind us that peace, justice, and dignity are built by people - by workers - who show up for one another, even in the darkest times.

We encourage OSSTF/FEESO members to take time today to honour the brave people who came before us. You can find commemorative events taking place across the country on the Veterans Affairs Canada website.
