OSSTF/FEESO is strongly committed to supporting and promoting evidence-informed practices in public education. We believe evidence-informed decision-making is the best way to ensure a safe and rewarding workplace for members and, as importantly, a robust and world-class education system for students. We act on this commitment, in part, by producing and supporting original research. OSSTF/FEESO commissions studies, partners with independent researchers and undertakes our own studies. This page provides access to a wide range of research resources.

Healthy Professional Workers – Gender, Mental Health, Leaves of Absence & Return to Work

OSSTF/FEESO was proud to support this large study comparing the gendered nature of mental health issues and leaves of absence across eight professional sectors. A report and infographics focusing on the education sector can be found below. Click here for more information on the report.
