Colin Matthew

Colin Matthew, a teacher from District 15 Trillium Lakelands, is a graduate of Trent University and a passionate advocate for workers. He was first elected to the Provincial Executive in 2021.

Since joining OSSTF/FEESO in 2002, Colin has served in local and provincial roles including: bargaining unit president, Provincial Council Chair, OTF Governor, and member of the provincial CPAC Committee. In each of these roles, Colin has sought to engage and empower members and inspire them to take action in our union and in our broader society.

A veteran of many rounds of bargaining beginning before the School Boards' Collective Bargaining Act, Colin believes in the power of workers, the importance of organizing to build that power, and the ability of workers to improve not just their own circumstance but to build a fair and equitable society.
