Lamia Sabbagh

Lamia joined OSSTF/FEESO Provincial Office in 2020 in the Member Protection Department of the Protective Services Division. She was promoted to Director of Member Protection in January 2022 and remained in that position until October 2026. Prior to working at the Provincial Office, Lamia taught French and English at the Durham District School Board. She was hired by the District 13 Bargaining Unit in 2016 and served as Executive Officer and Chief Negotiator before being elected as Teacher Bargaining Unit President and District President.

Lamia has over 30 years of experience working in publicly funded education in both English and French. This includes work in local advocacy campaigns, lobby days, public relations, member training and bargaining at the local and central tables. She has represented the Federation in matters before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and civil court.

Lamia was appointed to the position of Associate General Secretary - Professional Services in November 2026.
