The OSSTF/FEESO Comité des services en langue française Award

The Comité des services en langue française Award of Merit recognizes an OSSTF/FEESO member who distinguishes themselves and is involved in the growth and the promotion of the French language within OSSTF/FEESO. Within their workplace, candidates will also have demonstrated contributions to French language activities that have an impact on the education system.

Submitting a Nomination

The deadline for nominations is January 31 and must be submitted through our online Nomination Form, or by mail to:

The electronic form features file upload capability. You may submit attachments no larger than 20 MB. Each file should be no more than 3 MB. If you submit your online form with attachments over 20 MB, you will arrive at a Page Not Found error. If your attachments are large, we recommend you email them to Nancy Desjardins or mail them to Rosemary Judd-Archer. Eligible applications that were not chosen in the current year will be held for one (1) year after their initial submission for consideration in the following year.

Guidelines

Criteria

The recipient of this Award of Merit must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an Active Member of OSSTF/FEESO.
  • Demonstrate a contribution to the growth and promotion of the French language within OSSTF/FEESO at the provincial or local level (District or Bargaining Unit) 
  • Demonstrate a contribution to French language activities that have an impact on the education system in their workplace.

Disclaimer

The Comité des services en langue française will determine which, if any, candidate will receive the award based on the established criteria. Comité des services en langue française reserves the right not to grant the award in any given year.

Nominations

Who is eligible for nomination? Any Active Bargaining Unit member of OSSTF/FEESO, with the exception of current CSLF committee members.
What is required? Provide concrete examples of relevant work accomplished to support the nomination.
Where will the presentation occur? Annual Meeting of the Provincial Assembly (AMPA)
How will the winner be notified? A staff member assigned to the award will make contact with the nominator prior to the award ceremony to get winner’s contact information. Only winning entries will be contacted.
Publicity OSSTF/FEESO will publicize the contributions of the award winner in its publications
