The OSSTF/FEESO Provincial Executive Award

  • A member or Provincial Office staff member who, in the opinion of the Provincial Executive, has rendered meritorious and outstanding services to the OSSTF/FEESO at both the provincial and local level is eligible for the Provincial Executive Award
  • The award, which consists of a framed scroll recognition and a pin, is available annually to a limited number of exceptional members, on their retirement.
  • A member who has been awarded a Provincial Life Membership is not eligible for the Provincial Executive Award.
  • Recommendations by a District Executive for consideration by the Provincial Executive must be made by May 1 in any year.
  • The award(s) will be presented to the Member(s) at the final meeting of Provincial Council of the Federation Year

The Provincial Executive will determine which, if any, candidate will receive the award based on the established criteria. The Provincial Executive reserves the right not to grant the award in any given year.

Nominations

Who may submit a nomination form? Any Bargaining Unit member/District or Bargaining Unit Executive, Provincial Executive member or Provincial Office staff member.
Who is eligible for nomination? Any Bargaining Unit member, Provincial Executive member, or OSSTF/FEESO staff member upon their retirement.
What is required? Provide concrete examples of relevant work accomplished to support the nomination.
Where will the presentation occur? Annual Meeting of the Provincial Assembly (AMPA)
How will winner be notified? The staff member assigned to the award will contact the nominator prior to the award ceremony to get winner’s contact information. Only winning entries will be contacted.
Publicity OSSTF/FEESO will publicize the contributions of the award winner in its publications.
